Use DataMatch Tool.

DataMatch Tool was developed by academics, for academics. It allows faculty and researchers to clean, organize and merge the datasets they use in their research. It is very useful, easy to use and tailored to the specific needs of researchers.

Main features:
  • Link data from different sources easily and quickly
  • Clean, organize and deduplicate data
  • Fields to be matched can be of any nature: company names, product descriptions, names of people
  • Retrieve data close to a specific date
  • Manage custom libraries: noise, predefined matches and synonyms
  • Import from and export to Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Access, XML or text format
  • Generate reports to use as input to statistical and econometric software (e.g., SPSS or Stata)
  • Step-by-step tutorials, help guides and online support

Another software you can use is WRDS.

Go to WRDS from the Top e-resources drilldown menu on the IESE Library homepage.

First time users will need to click on Register to request a user account and then fill out the form. It takes 24 hours to get approved.

If you already have an existing WRDS account, just sign in.
