Go to the databases:

  • Datastream available at Barcelona and Madrid Libraries (through Thomson Reuters Eikon). Use Data Category Economics, and look for Consumer Confidence (mnemonic is USCNFCONQ) using the search field. Contains Consumer Confidence Index dating back to 1969. Data can be downloaded into Excel.
  • For recent data use the database ThomsonOne -> Market Views -> Economics.

Also go to;

Business and Consumer Surveys (EC) for Europe.

Encuesta continua de presupuestos familiares (INE) for Spain.

Consumer Expenditure Survey (Bureau of Labor Statistics) for the U.S.

The Conference Board for international information.
