IESE students doing internships may use IESE Library’s licensed databases to prepare for their internship by reading materials about the industry or developing technical skills they may need.
But, if you need information for a project is that would benefit the company where you are doing your internship, our licenses with database vendors PROHIBITS using their products for this purpose. Vendors state that these resources are to support the teaching and research activities of current IESE students and faculty. This in effect means that if your research is for your course work at IESE, then there is no problem. Otherwise, you would be in violation of the contracts we sign with Euromonitor, Ebsco, etc.
We have no way of policing anyone's rationale for the research they do, but you need to know this distinction. Basically, the organization that will benefit from your internship project should be providing you access to the resources you need to complete it.
