(Example: IBM <Equity> FA ESG <GO>)
- Use the sub-tabs to explore additional ESG metrics.
- To compare ESG indicators with peer companies, enter:
RV ESG <GO> to open the Relative Valuation function.
For larger datasets
The following sources provide broader ESG data coverage:
- MSCI ESG Ratings for Global Equities (Historical Data). Please contact the Library staff for access
- Trucost. Please contact the Library staff for access
- Revelio Lab. Please contact the Library staff for access
- RepRisk – available through WRDS (Wharton Research Data Services)
Additional Bloomberg resources
- Bloomberg includes both proprietary ESG data and metrics from third-party providers such as MSCI, Sustainalytics, and ISS.
- Note that historical ESG data from external vendors may not always be available (for example, historical MSCI scores are limited).
- Bloomberg terminals have monthly download limits, which may restrict extensive data extraction for projects.
- To learn more about Bloomberg’s ESG tools, type BESG <GO> on the terminal.
- The Bloomberg ESG Materiality Frameworks function provides an overview of material ESG issues and data points for public companies (coverage begins in 2015).
For assistance or access to any of these datasets, contact the Library at library@iese.edu.
