Refinitiv was acquired by the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG). All databases have been rebranded, integrated, or renamed under the LSEG name. No databases were discontinued, but their entry points and names have changed.

The platform known today as LSEG Workspace has undergone multiple name changes and product merges. This evolution follows corporate acquisitions involving Reuters, Thomson Reuters, Refinitiv, and ultimately the London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG).
Chronological Name & Platform Evolution
- LSEG Workspace (2023–Present):
In late 2023, LSEG officially began retiring the Refinitiv brand, renaming the flagship market-data terminal to LSEG Workspace.
- Refinitiv Workspace (2020–2023):
Launched as the next-generation interface to eventually replace older software. It took the name of Refinitiv, which was spun off from Thomson Reuters in 2018.
- Thomson Reuters Eikon / Refinitiv Eikon (2010–2025):
Eikon was the primary flagship data terminal platform for over a decade. When Blackstone acquired a majority stake in Thomson Reuters' Financial & Risk business in 2018, it was renamed Refinitiv Eikon. LSEG fully retired Eikon and migrated all users to Workspace.
- Thomson ONE (2000s–2010s):
Prior to Eikon becoming the standard, Thomson ONE was the core workstation platform used for corporate finance, investment banking, and market analysis.
- Reuters 3000 Xtra / Reuters Terminal (Pre-2008):
Before Thomson acquired Reuters in 2008 to form Thomson Reuters, the data platform was simply the iconic Reuters terminal, with Reuters 3000 Xtra being its most famous legacy software version.
