There are two types of analyst estimates (broker forecasts) available: summary or consensus estimates, and detailed estimates at the individual analyst level.

Earnings Per Share (EPS) is the most common, but other analysts estimates, e.g. Dividend Per Share, EBITDA, Net Debt, Sales/Revenue, may be available.

Summary or Consensus estimates are available from:

  • Capital IQ
Find your company and look in the left margin for CIQ Estimates under the "Estimates" heading.

Detailed and Summary estimates are available from:

  • WRDS (you need to obtain your WRDS account) and click COMPUSTAT.

Go to Factiva, then Companies/Markets, then enter name of stock symbol. Go to Custom Report and choose Income Statement and/or Growth Rates & Outlook.

For IBES, Nelson or Zack's estimates use Bloomberg (available at Barcelona IESE Library Financial Room). Enter Ticker symbol, hit the EQUITY Key, type EE, and hit GO key. For a calendar of expected earnings announcements, type ACDR and hit GO key.
