Use Compustat North America in WRDS. Once inside Compustat, choose "Security Monthly." Monthly short interest by company is available back to mid-2003.
NYSE Short Sales are available in WRDS from January 2005 - July 6, 2007.
Use Bloomberg (available at Barcelona Library Financial Room). Type company ticker, hit EQUITY key, type SI and then hit GO for basic short interest data.
