Q. Companies: Ownership and Insider trading

In Capital IQ:

1. Type in the company name or ticker in the search bar.
2. On the left-hand side navigation under Investors click Public Ownership.
3. Click on the Insider Trading tab.

In PitchBook:

1. Type the company name or ticker symbol in the search bar.
2. On the Profile tab, click on Ownership from the left-hand menu.

In LSEG Workspace (formerly Refinitiv Workspace):

1. Type the company name or ticker symbol in the search bar at the top of the page and select the appropriate company to load the summary page.
2. Hover over the Ownership tab and select Insider Report.
3. You can view Strategic Entities, Insider Summary, and Insider Transactions.

In Bloomberg:
•    For company holdings:

1. Type the Ticker symbol of the equity you want, press the yellow <Equity> key and hit  <GO>.
2. Type PHDC 3 (Custom Ownership Search. Insiders, sorted by size) and press <GO>.

•    For individual holdings:

1. Type the Ticker symbol of the equity you want, press the yellow <Equity> key and hit <GO>.
2. Select 1) Company Overview.
3. Select 17) Management’s Holdings.
4. Click on the security then on the person, Reported Holdings  is a section on this screen.

•    For stocks that have experienced the most purchases and sales by insiders.

1. Type INSD (Insider & Shareholder Activity) and press <GO>.
2. Use the fields at the top of the screen to select country/region, range, sector, source.
3. Right-click on a stock, select the Load option to display a graph of its historical prices with the date of insider transactions at the top of the screen.
4. For further information, type insider and hit the green Help key.

For percentage institutional ownership, go to Sabi, click Ownership data > Click on Companies owned by a shareholder > Shareholder's Characteristics. Enter your percentages > Click: OK > Click: View list of results.

For ownership chart:
•    Go to Orbis, click on Company Name, type the name of a company and select the company from your results list. Click on Corporate ownership from the left-hand menu and select Ownership structure.

•    Go to Sabi, click on Company Name and type in the name of a company. Select it. Click OK. Then click on Company View Report. Click on the graphs section in the lower right-hand corner. Choose Ownership structure.
