US and non-US Stock price data for delisted securities can be found in the following databases:
- Thomson One. Go to "Screening & Analysis", then select "Company” and “Company Screener" and then "Basic Search”. In the “Company Status & Type” box select in “Companies which are” Inactive Companies": inactive or both active/inactive.
- Datastream (available at Barcelona and Madrid Libraries through Eikon) - When searching for securities in the "Explorer" window make sure the option is selected to include dead securites.
- CRSP is available through WRDS. It has a variable that tracks reason for delisting.
- Go to Orbis.
There is a search engine at Scripophily.com which gives valuation, and picture, of old stock certificates for sale.
