Orbis or Sabi has an expert search function to screen for activity criteria: NAICS, SIC, NACE or keyword. Knowing the NAICS codes, for example, will facilitate searching for companies in the industry from our databases. For example: 541711 - Research and Development in Biotechnology
EMIS (Emerging Markets Information Service) has a search function to screen for emerging countries companies by location, industry, financial figures and valuation ratios.
ThomsonOne. Click on Screening & Analysis, then search by SIC (click on magnifying glass for a list of SIC codes) or type "biotechnology" in Business description box. Note: this resource only works in Internet Explorer.
MarketLine: Click on Databases > Company Prospector > Select in Industry: Pharmaceutical and Healthcare and then Biotechnology. Finally, click on View Results.
Factiva will provide company lists by industry. Click on Companies/Markets on the menu bar. Click on Industry. Select “Biotechnology” from the list, and then click Submit.
